Plenary session: Guidelines for the employment policies of the Member States
Guidelines for the employment policies of the Member States (A9-0124/2020 -José Gusmão)
I voted in favour of this report because it contains important measures and it is urgent, in the current situation, to make strong investments in job creation and job sustainability, while simultaneously fighting social inequalities and poverty.
The employment policy guidelines form the basis of European employment market policies and, therefore, guide Member States in their internal policies in this regard.
The report includes a call for Member States to improve gender representation in business and institutional settings; create jobs in the green economy; defend social rights; promote the professional qualifications of citizens; and, among others, defend the rights of migrant and border workers.
