European Commission wants to end homelessness by 2030
Brussels, 23 November 2020- Overwhelmingly, the European Parliament passed a resolution with key guidelines on the end of homelessness in the European Union (EU).
Next week, the Greens/EFA report on access to decent and affordable housing for all will be voted on. The vote will take place in the Employment and Social Affairs Committee and then in Plenary in early 2021. The report contains proposals on homelessness and a call for the European Commission (EC) to establish EU framework for national homelessness strategies and a goal to end homelessness by 2030
To this end, the Greens launched a petition with a clear call for action addressed to the EC to respond firmly to these demands as part of the action plan on the European pillar of social rights.
