The Industrial Emissions Portal
The Industrial Emissions PortalStrasbourg, July 11, 2023 - I voted in favor of the report on the proposal for a regulation on the communication of environmental data from industrial installations and the creation of an Industrial Emissions Portal. Information on industrial polluters will become more transparent. The new Industrial Emissions Portal will require polluters to report emissions of perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) for the first time. The portal will include a list of all installations that do not comply with the emission limits set by the Industrial Emissions Directive, providing citizens with crucial information to protect their health and the local environment. Access to information will also be simpler. The portal will include links to all permits for industrial installations covered by the Industrial Emissions Directive and will allow interested parties to search and compare emissions from individual installations across Europe.
