Report on the financial activities of the European Investment Bank - annual report 2022

Strasbourg, July 12, 2023 - I voted in favor of this report which contains constructive criticism and an appeal to the EIB to strengthen its ambition in relation to climate policy, transparency, anti-corruption and transport. From the point of view of the Greens/EFA, the overall message is satisfactory and sufficiently strong. The main victories in the text are: reducing the obsession with risk aversion; neutralizing specific requests for the EIB to abandon its policy of not financing the military industry; a strong section on financing the fight against climate change. For all these reasons I voted in favor.
