Reinforcing the Youth Guarantee (B9-0310/2020)

I voted in favour of this resolution because this strengthening of the Youth Guarantee was necessary. Originally, it urged Member States (but only with a recommendation) to provide, internships, training or continuing education, to all young people who lost their jobs or who had to drop out of school.

In a brief but demanding negotiation, the Group of the Greens/EFA managed that, in this resolution, it is advocated that the instrument becomes mandatory, that the connection with the European Green Deal be made and that any unpaid internships be excluded.
