Draft Council decision on the system of own resources of the European Union (A9-0146/2020 - José Manuel Fernandes, Valerie Hayer)

I voted in favour of this report because it completely reflects the view of European Greens on the European budget's own resources. The EU budget must be bigger, greener and better adapted to today's challenges.

It is very difficult to get Member States to increase their traditional contributions, so a more robust own resources system, taxing polluting industries, financial transactions and large digital companies, will be a way to strengthen the EU budget.
