MEPs express solidarity with political prisoners from Crimea
Brussels, 22 September 2020 – Several MEPs, including Francisco Guerreiro (Greens/EFA), signed a joint letter sent to political prisoners from Crimea expressing concern about their detention conditions.
“We condemn the steps of the Russian Federation that violate human rights in Crimea, as well as the repression against political prisoners. [...] we will take all possible measures so that the issue of acquittal and the release of all political prisoners from Crimea remains relevant and does not disappear from the agenda in Europe”, write the signatories of the letter.
