MEPs call for exclusion of the ultra-conservative organization Ordo Iuris from the EU Transparency Register
Bruxelas, 20 de outubro de 2020 – Several MEPs endorsed the letter calling for the removal of the ultra-conservative organization Ordo Iuris - involved in various regressive policies in Poland, notably in relation to health, sexual and reproductive health rights, and LGBTI issues (giving, for instance, legal support to municipalities in declarations of anti-LGBTI ideology) - from the European Union Transparency Register.
“An organization that represents the interests of a hostile foreign power and that hides that fact, conducting activities that compromise the integrity of the EU and undermine its values in at least one Member State, should not be able to benefit from an entry in the EU Transparency Register,” the letter states.
The European Union Transparency Register is managed by the European Commission and the European Parliament and consists of informing EU citizens about the groups and organizations with which they interact.
