MEP Francisco Guerreiro moderates debate on Mercosur between Ciro Gomes and NGO

Brussels, May 24, 2023 - In the second week of May, Ciro Gomes (former Brazilian presidential candidate) was the guest of Francisco Guerreiro on a visit to the European Parliament in Strasbourg.


During this institutional visit, there was the opportunity to discuss various issues relating to Brazil and the European Union. For example, Francisco Guerreiro moderated a debate with Ciro Gomes and several NGOs on the impact of the Mercosur Agreement and the EU on biodiversity. This debate took place during the Animal Welfare Intergroup, of which he is Vice-President.
