Guidelines for the 2024 budget - Section III

Strasbourg, April 19, 2023 - We voted against this report, which was ultimately rejected due to the existence of an amendment that we find unacceptable. This amendment urges the use of European funds to create walls and other forms of physical borders to prevent the passage of migrants or asylum seekers. This is politically unacceptable to our group (and to a majority of the EP), so we had to reject this report, which even had a number of good points regarding the Union's general budget for 2024.
