Francisco Guerreiro organizes the #Green4Animals event

Brussels, October 12, 2023 - On Thursday, October 12, Francisco Guerreiro MEP along with eight fellow Greens/EFA MEPs (Caroline Roose, Tilly Metz, Ska Keller, Anna Deparnay-Grunenberg, Pär Holmgren, Thomas Waitz, Manuela Ripa and David Cormand) organized the Greens4animals conference at the European Parliament.
This event brought together local and European parliamentarians as well as green and animal rights activists to discuss legislation to protect so-called farmed animals and to discuss measures for all animals, implemented from the local to the global level. dAs one of the conclusions of this event, MEPs are once again calling on the European Commission to publish a proposal to reform European regulations on the protection of farmed animals.


“After decades of calls from civil society for the lives of animals to be improved through better legislation, the Commission has a duty to present this proposal - not only for the animals, but also for the citizens, who have made themselves heard democratically and believe that the democratic institutions listen to them,” says Francisco Guerreiro on his social networks.
