Francisco Guerreiro MEP visits first quinoa producer in Portugal

Barcelos, February 22, 2023- On the morning of Monday, February 20, the MEP went to Barcelos to visit the first quinoa producer in Portugal, “Quinoa Portuguesa”.


“Quinoa Portuguesa reduces imports of this commodity from Latin America, guarantees jobs in rural areas and paves the way for increased organic production. All of which is included in the Farm to Fork Strategy,” said Francisco Guerreiro on his social networks.


Quinoa Portuguesa” is the only quinoa produced 100% in Portugal and its production is ecological and organic.
