Ensuring food security and the long-term resilience of EU agriculture

Strasbourg, June 13, 2023 - This report is an attempt by the Conservatives, ID and part of the RE group to simply erase all the work done by the EP on Farm to Fork and replace it with a simplistic and false narrative: “environmental regulations are a threat to food security”.
This is the exact opposite of reality, where droughts, floods and the disappearance of pollinators are what is really affecting yields in the EU today.It also completely ignores the opinion of the ENVI committee to a point bordering on insulting (AGRI and ENVI had shared competence, but none of the ENVI committee's amendments were accepted).
