Distance contracts for financial services

I voted in favor of this report because it improves consumer protection when shopping online by introducing a cancellation button for all distance contracts. Consumers also benefit from new rights, which act as a safety net, when buying financial services online. The issue of advertising by influencers is still open but we ask the Commission to address it in the future evaluation of digital justice in European consumer protection law.
