Banking Union - annual report 2023

I abstained from this annual report on the Banking Union because it focuses too much on the competitiveness of the European banking sector, favoring the removal of impediments to the consolidation of banking groups, which actually means fewer regulatory requirements. Despite this very liberal tone, we did get some relevant passages such as the sector's role in financing the green transition and the need to reduce its exposure to fossil fuels.
