Annual Report on the Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP)
The High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy is required by the Treaty to report annually to Parliament on the main choices and decisions in the field of the Union's Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP). The AFET Committee responds to this report from the HR/VP with its own annual CFSP report drawn up by its chairman. AFET's annual CFSP report covers all the main geographical and thematic areas and describes Parliament's position in this regard. This year's report is generally good and balanced. Almost all of our incorporated amendments were reached through compromises between the groups. I voted in favor of this report.
