Accession to the Geneva Act of the Lisbon Agreement on designations of origin and geographical indications

This report is an “automatic” follow-up to the EP's various positions supporting the legal protection of geographical indications (GIs) and their administration. EUIPO's responsibility is not contested, except for the scope of its role in some cases, which is an issue that is being dealt with in more detail by the Regulation on the protection of geographical indications for craft and industrial products.
