Francisco Calçada

Francisco Calçada

Chief of Staff and Political Advisor on Budget issues

I have a degree in Economics from the Faculty of Economics of the University of Porto. When I finished college, I was the manager of a small Marketing and Advertising company. In 2009, I came to Brussels as an Economics advisor to MEP Elisa Ferreira. I worked with her for 7 years until she was called to the position of Vice-Governor of the Bank of Portugal. Immediately afterwards, I became chief of staff of MEP Manuel dos Santos, who replaced her, continuing my work primarily in the Economy and Budget Committees.

After the 2019 elections, Francisco challenged me to his team, and it is with great pleasure that I assist him daily in his mission to fight for a more just, non-violent, and decarbonized society.

I dedicate all my free time to my family.
